Alan Burzevski
Cello | Piano | Theory
Alan is a dedicated and passionate musician who has been playing the piano and cello since the age of five. He learnt under the Suzuki Method, which has a heavy focus on the nurturing aspect of music, and this is evident in the way he teaches his students – with a smile on his face and an encouraging, supportive personality. He has graduated all levels of the Suzuki method for both piano and cello, and has also completed his AMEB AMusA for both instruments – cello with a distinction. As well as this, he has also completed his grade 6 musicianship, and is highly proficient both technically and musically. He has been featured in many concerts as a soloist, including the Primary Proms in Sydney Town Hall, and the School Spectacular in Killara High School. Furthermore, he has been involved in many ensembles and chamber groups, having been the principal cellist at North Sydney Boys High School which he has toured with overseas to central Europe and Spain, and more recently he has been part of a Con Brio Trio that won first place at the Sydney Eisteddfod.
In addition to his musical achievements, Alan was the school captain of North Sydney Boys, and has been involved in many sporting and cultural activities. He hopes to share his love of music to all his students.
